The boar bristles distribute natural oils, while the semi-flexible pins are designed for light and gentle detangling. This "mixed quill" bristle combination is the perfect mix for smoothing, styling, and lightly detangling a range of hair types and textures and is especially helpful for toddlers and younger children, who tend to have finer hair, more sensitive scalps, and less natural oil
